I am a wife, mum and grandma. I am also the Team Leader at Lesmurdie Baptist Church, where I am responsible for monitoring and guiding the spiritual growth and health of the congregation. I am enjoying the operational management of a connected mid-sized church, from the community services to developing our mission and vision.
At Vose I completed my Masters in Divinity, which has greatly assisted me in my current role. Vose gave me networks into the community, helping me to build relationships that in turn have helped me to build my ministry. My study opened me up to thinking theologically about everything, and the practicals skills, especially pastoral care, have assisted me in my day to day interaction with others.
Vose has really given me a love and high value for ongoing learning by making me ask the tough questions of my faith, whilst giving me a safe context to do that in. Through the work of the lecturers, Vose has given me a real faith, not one that is disconnected and "bookish".
