Nestled in bushland, Vose Seminary's campus offers a serene setting to study and breathe in God's beautiful surroundings.
Students not only enjoy the peacefulness of Vose but also the fun and camaraderie of other students and staff. Sounds of table tennis constantly drift out of the student lounge along with the laughter of Wednesday community lunches. Whether studying, worshipping, playing, laughing, there are always people around to walk alongside you.
Vose is offering an increasing number and variety of distance courses. Distance students are still able to enjoy rich community life via moodle and other contact opportunites such as intensives.
The Academic Year
The academic year, starting in mid-February and concluding in November, is divided into two semesters. First semester stars in mid-February, second semester in mid-July. In each semester there are 13 weeks of lectures, split with study breaks, followed by exam week.
Classes are held on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's during both the day and night. Each unit is generally a 3hr block per week. Lectures are usually grouped so that students taking one unit only need to come to the seminary for a three hour block each week. Students should allow at least ten hours study per unit per week for the semester. Some units are held as "intensive" units, and run for a week or several blocks of days during the semester.
