For graduates with non-theology degrees, Vose offers the MDiv degree and its nested Graduate Diploma of Divinity. For those who already posess a 3 year degree in Theology, Vose offers the MA degree in either Ministry or Theology, and a nested Graduate Diploma in either Ministry or Theology. Master of Divinity
ACT Award
A three year program (maximum nine years part-time) with a balance of biblical, historical, theological and practical units. The project and electives allow for variety of interests and study goals. The first year of study may be taken as the Graduate Diploma of Divinity.
Foundation Units (40 points).
- Formative Old Testament Traditions.
- From Israel to Judea.
- The Content and Setting of the Gospel Tradition.
- The Early New Testament Church.
- Foundations of Theology.
- Ministry Formation or Foundations for Youth Ministry.
- At least two of:
- Early Church History (30-451).
- The Church from 1550 to Modern Times.
- The Continental Reformation (Advanced Level).
- New Testament Greek (full year eight points) or Biblical Hebrew (full year eight points).
Advanced Units (36 points).
- At least four biblical exegesis units (at least one from each of OT and NT - two in original language).
- The Doctrine of God and the Work of Christ.
- Supervised Experience Based Learning (single unit taken over six semesters).
- At least two of:
- The Doctrines of Grace and Eschatology.
- Reformation Issues.
- Church, Sacraments and Ministry.
- Theological Seminar.
At least one unit in Ministry and Practice.
A Special Interest Project (double unit eight points).* or two elective units
Three Electives (12 points).
*Compulsory for articulation to research masters degree [MTh]
Graduate Diploma of Divinity
ACT Award
A one year programme (maximum four years part-time) for persons who are graduates in a non-theological discipline, with a balance of core and elective units that allow for a variety of interests and study goals. Each has a total of eight units. (This can be the first year of the Master of Divinity).
Required Units (12 points).
At least two of:
- Formative Old Testament Traditions.
- From Israel to Judea.
- The Content and Setting of the Gospel Tradition.
- The Early New Testament Church.
At least one of:
- Early Church History.
- The Church from 1550 to Modern Times.
- Foundations of Theology.
- Doctrine of God and the Work of Christ.
- Doctrines of Grace and Eschatology.
- Church, Sacraments and Ministry.
- Theology Seminar.
- Reformation Issues.
Five electives (20 points).
Combined Master of Divinity, Graduate Diploma of Divinity
ACT Award
A four-year program in which requirements of MDiv are met, together with a further 32 points of units in the MDiv program.
Master of Arts (Ministry) or Master of Arts (Theology)
ACT Award
This course is aimed at broadening and deepening the ministry concepts begun in the first degree in theology or providing opportunities for initial professional and vocational development after the completion of a first degree in theology. As such it is a course of study for practitioners who already have some ongoing professional experience or for initial professional development.
The award requires eight units (64 credit points). At least six units will come from subjects in Ministry and Practice. Units will be offered on a part-time basis and can take up to six years to complete. An independent study project worth two units (16 credit points) is allowed.
Students may exit after four units (32 credit points) with a Graduate Diploma of Ministry.

- 2007 Sem 1 - Evangelicalism: It's Nature, Spirituality and Significance.
- 2007 Sem 2 - Pastoring in the 21st Century.
- 2008 Sem 1 - Preaching Isaiah.
- 2008 Sem 2 - The Theology of John Calvin.
